Our team enjoyed seeing Interface’s new headquarters at 1280 W. Peachtree St. in Midtown, where employees can choose from collaborative work areas, semi-private pod desks, small private rooms and a variety of other work spaces.
Strong Wi-Fi and lots of power/USB outlets make it easy to plug and play anywhere in the building, and it’s a nice example of “work choice” that empowers everyone to do their best work.
There are many eco-friendly features such as captured rainwater that’s used for toilets and a chilled-beam HVAC system that uses a fraction of the energy of traditional forced air systems. LED lights brighten and dim according to natural circadian rhythms.
It’s no wonder Stockbridge Capital bought the building last year for $24 million, which was roughly five times what the previous owner paid for it ahead of Interface’s adaptive reuse project.
